Suntali Sarki is a resident of a small village in Okhaldhunga district. She lives there with her husband and five children three of whom are daughters and two sons. Her eldest son is physically challenged and attends school with great difficulty. Her husband is a daily wageworker doing physical labour mostly, however; they have no definite income to support them in a constant way.
She discovered her condition four years ago when she experienced sudden unexplained weight loss, weakness and pain. When she referred her case to Sahid Gangalal National Heart Centre in Kathmandu, her relatives suggested that she approach Dr. Bhagwan Koirala as he was known for his miracles as a doctor and his understanding perspective towards the problems of unaffordability of treatment and because of this, she was brought in contact with JMT and offered its services.
She underwent various tests and check-ups that confirmed an operation to be mandatory as her heart valves weren’t in good condition.
She understands that life is priceless and shares with us that she has to get better for the sake of her children. She wishes prosperity and good luck to the hospital and all the doctors who helped her recover back to good health.
