I am Pralad Dahal. My mother Mrs Goma Dahal is a 73 years old widow of my father Mr. Kul Prasad Dahal and lives with me, my wife and my three sons in our home at Kavrepalanchowk. My wife and I are the only earning members in my family and we are based on agricultural produce as our main source of income making about Rs 6000/- per month.
Even when my mother suffered from minor health problems, my wife and I would rush her to the Dhulikhel Hospital as we wanted to make no compromises whatsoever regarding her health and well being. On 26th of May 2017, my mother suddenly fell very ill, her condition worse than ever, so with unresolved worry etched on our faces, my wife and I took her to the Dhulikhel Hospital where it was diagnosed that my mother was suffering from a cardiac disease. After this the doctors there at the hospital recommended us to take my mother to Kathmandu and get her admitted at the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre. When we arrived to Kathmandu, they informed us about the noble services of JMT and because of insufficient funds for the entire treatment we decided to take the assistance of this social service organization. On 30th of May 2017 she underwent Angioplasty and is discharged now.
My wife and I will ensure the availability of proper and advised medication for my mother till required and we will follow all the instructions of the doctors very sincerely. After the completion of my mother’s treatment, I have decided to life insurances for all my family members. Social Service is a very benevolent deed and I hope the doctors, JMT and all other people will continue with it and help out patients like my mother.
