The Jayanti Memorial Trust has been dedicated to raising funds, for less fortunate cardiac patients since 2011. So, on the occasion of Valentine’s Day, a reason to celebrate the heart and love; the Trust embraced the opportunity to commemorate The Heart and promote the message of giving - “From One Heart to Another”.
Valentine’s Day can mean so much more than just celebrating with loved ones. It can be the day to celebrate with an open heart to all; with this approach in mind, the Jayanti Memorial Trust hopes to put forth a fundraising effort each Valentine’s Day, for cardiac care. This year’s fundraiser, Egyptian Night, was well received, by about 300+ guests in attendance. Our major contributor and sponsor for the night was Qatar Airways, who generously donated NRs. 2,50,000 as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Qatar Airways has truly lived up to their tag line “One World Alliance”; reiterating charity being unbiased and not recognizing caste, creed and/or boundaries. This collaboration has paved a path for other large corporate and individuals, to confer faith in our cause to provide support to needy cardiac patients. The Trust is committed to ensure proper utilization of the acquired funds and graciously commends Qatar Airways on their generosity.
Similarly, the Trust is extremely grateful to Hotel Annapurna for their part. The Hotel enthusiastically took the reins in co-organizing and performed exceptionally as partner, for this fundraising event. Hotel Annapurna has been actively involved in various charitable causes and has allocated their CSR budget to genuine sectors, consistently supporting social causes within the country.
The Jayanti Memorial Trust spent NRs. 11,92,095.34 in 2068/69 B.S, sponsoring the treatment of 140 patients and NRs. 43,18,454.84 in 2069/70, sponsoring the treatment of 236 less fortunate cardiac patients in the country. The Trust has been tirelessly working towards generating funds, in order to serve/help all that come to our door step. The number of cardiac patients in Nepal has risen in an alarming number and thus the sole purpose for this year’s fundraiser was to generate sufficient funds, in order to accommodate all those who come to the Trust seeking aid for cardiac treatment.
