Nurse Training Program

 Jayanti Memorial Trust (JMT) sponsored a half-day workshop for Pediatric Cardiac Critical course for Nurses at Hotel Annapurna this afternoon. Considered to be the first of its kind in Nepal, the workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Praveen Mishra , Health Secretary for the Government of Nepal. On the occasion he noted with satisfaction the fact that such an important course was being conducted with the help of the Cardiac Society of Nepal and JMT with the assistance of foreign expertise , Dr. Cathy Woodward and Dr. Lisa Matasovsky both from Texas, USA.

Delivering the welcome speech, the Secretary of Jayanti memorial Trust, Mrs. Shreejana Rana, expressed happiness for entrusting the Trust to sponsor such an important training workshop which will assist in Nepal’s national awareness program on Pediatric Cardiac Critical Courses for nurses here. She further added the Trust established in the memory of late Jayanti Shah, has been actively involved in sponsoring the treatment of less fortunate cardiac patients in Nepal, conducting free heart camps , raise awareness regarding cardiac illness and organizing continuing medical education(CME), for over a decade. The Trust marks the beginning of a new chapter being associated with continuing medical education not just for doctors but other division of the medical fraternity as well.

Local doctors participated in the workshop including Dr.Bhagawan Koirala and over 60 Nurses representing various local hospitals.
