Jayanti Memorial Trust (JMT) sponsored the travel expenses for a free heart camp and talk Program in Dhangadi and Kanchanpur on March 9, 10 and 11, 2012. Organized by Norvic International Hospital, Kathmandu, the free heart camp and talk program were conducted under the leadership of the renowned cardiologist, Dr. Bharat Rawal. JMT was represented by Mrs. Urmila Khanal who introduced the Trust, shed light on its objectives and proposed future initiatives to the participants at the program. She also distributed flyers with information on heart health to the people who came for the free heart check up in both towns.

The programs in these towns of the far western region were well attended and benefited more than 500 people.

This was the first time JMT was involved in a free heart camp in the far western region. Heartened by the overwhelming response, and recognizing the need for such programs, JMT will be lending support and organizing more camps and programs in this remote region to serve as many people as possible in the future.
