Go Red for Women 2018

This year, Jayanti Memorial Trust organized "TEEJ talk with Go Red for Women -Saving Heart and Empowering Women” in collaboration with SAATHI's 3rd annual event "Teej Talks" and Nepali Women Global Network (NWGN). 

The program revolved around providing an insight into saving the heart and empowering women to more than 250 participants. 

During the program, well-known Cardiologist, Prof. Dr. Bhagawan Koirala sensitized the participants on a healthy lifestyle for a stronger heart and for the part dubbed as Tales of Equality, Empowerment and Joy (TEEJ), four renowned personalities—activist and journalist Babita Basnet, Youth entrepreneur Amu Thapa, media personality Dil Bhushan Pathak and actress Rekha Thapa -- shared their personal stories of joyful transformation focusing on gender biased social norms and cultural practices prevalent around us aiming at inspiring and motivating the audience not to follow harmful practices blindly in the name of faith and religion but to initiate and adopt changes that will help to promote social equality and happiness.

Besides, globally known Gender Expert Bandana Rana moderated the program. The "TEEJ talk with Go Red for Women -Saving Heart and Empowering Women” program was indeed a great success.
