The hospitals in Pokhara serves patients coming from several districts such as Baglung, Myagdi, Parbhat, Tanahu, Manang, Mustang, Lamjung and Syangja leading to huge cardiac patients inflow at the major hospital of Pokhara such as Western Regional Hospital and Manipal Hospital. The patients coming from around the districts are still deprived of prime cardiac care services. To treat such fatal disease like CVD demands highly skilled medical attention and care and it is unfortunate that there is a very limited expert to cater to the skills required. Therefore, the importance to conduct the workshop in Pokhara was deemed necessary. The experts from the University of Colorado shared their valuable and updated the medical knowledge to expand and improve the skills of the medical fraternity in Pokhara.
Continuing Medical Education was organized in City Square, Pokhara with total 81 medical professional attendees working in critical care unit in different hospitals of Pokhara participated in the program from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Following was the topic that was presented:
